Landing Page Tips
Last Updated (Thursday, 25 September 2008 02:52) Written by Administrator Thursday, 25 September 2008 02:43
To create a great landing page, here are 10 Steps you can follow:
The design of your landing page is very important. You need to create a site that will promote confidence in your potential customers. You don't want to look like you just slapped something together in 2 minutes. You want to provide visitors with an eye-catching design that promotes the product and doesn't get in the way of what you're trying to sell.
In the design phase you'll need to create a custom header for your product you wish to promote. You don't want to add an image with a hot car on it if you're trying to promote green tea. It just doesn't go together and visitors will get confused. Promote your product through your design.
A great way to keep people focused on your offer is to show your information in lists or in a bullet format. You want to have your information handy and easy to read. People don't want to slog through paragraph after paragraph of content - they need to find the information quickly and lists allow for this.

Google's PageRank Algorithm

1. Google's PageRank Algorithm
PageRank is a link analysis algorithm that assigns a numerical weighting to each element of a hyperlinked set of documents, such as the World Wide Web, with the purpose of "measuring" its relative importance within the set. The algorithm may be applied to any collection of entities with reciprocal quotations and references. The numerical weight that it assigns to any given element E is also called the PageRank of E and denoted by PR(E).
PageRank was developed at Stanford University by Larry Page (hence the name Page-Rank) and later Sergey Brin as part of a research project about a new kind of search engine. The project started in 1995 and led to a functional prototype, named Google, in 1998. Shortly after, Page and Brin founded Google Inc., the company behind the Google search engine. While just one of many factors which determine the ranking of Google search results, PageRank continues to provide the basis for all of Google's web search tools.
